Construction and Fund Raising - Dec 18

After lot of rainy weather, site work began on the PAC this week with digging for electrical conduits:



Our fundraising continues to go well with a total now of $1.967 million in pledges and funds received.

PAC Construction to Begin

Pre-construction logistics for the Parish Activity Center are now complete and construction will begin next week. Can I have an "Amen"! The General Contractor will be on site the week of December 7 to begin construction work. Preparation of the construction site will begin with site fencing, signage, construction trailer preparation and grading.

Windup for PAC Construction Begins

Following a successful Ground Breaking Celebration, the windup for construction of the Parish Activity Center has begun. The construction trailer is in place, and initial temporary fencing has been put up. We have our building permit from the city. The General Contractor will be presenting final pricing this week pricing on all the elements that go into building.

Groundbreaking at Last!

We had a wonderful groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday Oct 31! Bishop Burbidge blessed our endeavors and as the shovels dug into the earth, the sun brightened the sky. Pictures will be posted soon.

As the construction begins, a fence will go up around the construction site, and parking patterns will change slightly.

PAC Ground Breaking Events

Excitement is building about the events for our PAC Ground Breaking Celebration on October 31. We will have plenty of FREE barbecue, live entertainment, treats, and activities for the kids. Festivities begin at Noon. Since the date is also Halloween, we'll have a Parade of Costumes and Best Costume Contest for the young and young at heart starting at 12:15. Categories for costume prizes are spiritual, cutest, creative, multicultural, and scariest. The Ground Breaking Ceremony itself will begin at 1 p.m. with the Bishop.

We have much to celebrate as we begin construction of this new Activity Center, a long held dream for our parish that is now coming to fruition. The commitment of so many of you has now made this possible. Come and join in the fun as we celebrate together!

25 Days until PAC Ground Breaking

Construction documents for the PAC are 95% complete and out for pricing by our General Contractor. We have been busy selecting materials and systems for the Activity Center, including site visits to look at different kinds of flooring that will serve well both for athletic events and other non-athletic gatherings. Soon we will begin ramping up a new phase or our fund raising as ground breaking for the PAC becomes a reality. Look for more news soon on the exciting activities planned for our ground breaking celebration.
